DJ C-CHOPS(1999-2003)

CHRIS CHAPA - DRUMS/PERCUSSION, SYNTHS, DRUM MACHINES AND SAMPLERS

All songs written, and recorded between 1999 and 2003.

These songs were recorded using two Roland MC 505 Grooveboxes, and two Roland SP 808 Groove Samplers as instruments, with the intention of providing a foundation for performing live instruments over them. Some of them are missing bass lines, samples, and other parts and elements that were intended to be played live, by other musicians, along with what I had stored on my Grooveboxes and Samplers. Although I performed them live at a couple of different clubs between 2002 and 2003, I was never able to perform them with “bandmates.” Those live performances in 2002 and 2003, however, were a collaboration between me and The Mayhem Suspension Performance Art Group, where we choreographed live suspensions to the music that I had written, and was performing live.
